I tried to click on email mayor but it did not work. I would like this forwarded to him, please. Went to City of Maumelle at 550 Edgewood dr, to try to adopt a kitten. There was only 1 black and white female there, named Banshee.

I spent 30 minutes with kitten, and decided to adopt it. Went back into lobby and waited. No one around so I stuck my head into office and knocked. It was Chris Davis's office. He acted like I was interrupting him, and without looking at me, said what can I do for you. Very cold attitude. I advised I wanted to adopt the kitten, and he said you'll have to fill out paperwork.

I filled out paperwork and tried to let him know, I had adopted a kitten from there 2 years ago, and still had her. I tried showing him a picture of her, and to let him know I was probably in the system.

Still same attitude, he didn't even look at my picture, and returned to his computer.

With that, I said, "you must not be an animal person" and walked out of his office. Only then did he give me his attention, got up from his desk and followed me to front door, and said, "I am denying you, just for what you said", just letting you know now. My reply was, poor Banshee.

I have been adopting cat's for years from shelter, because I like to give back to the community, plus it's the right thing to do.

I have never encountered a person who didn't just love animals at any shelter, until I met Chris Davis. He does NOT fit the job description, at all.

If you have video in that office, watch it and you will see for yourself, who you have working for you, and a supervisor, at that.

Feel free to ask him why he denied my adoption. I am in your system from being approved for adopting kitten named Farrah.
