Want you to know, if you've not been past, that the nest you reported was addressed. I got a professional out as soon as I could to address this.

I thank you for the report. These nests present a real threat to pedestrians and a possible life threatening condition if a passerby has an allergy to stings. I was able to get someone out over last weekend to knock them out.

Thanks for the prompt repsonse- yes, they did come out and spray it. I will try to fill the hole to keep them from returning.

The insecticidal dust used by the professional will continue to kill for up to 8 months after application if left undisturbed. I recommend you leave the area alone. Any friends that happen along from here until spring and try to reuse the nest will meet the same swift fate as the prior occupants. It's the Bates Motel for yellow jackets now!

OK- will do. There used to be a large mulberry tree there that was cut down long ago; my guess is that the bees found their way into the buried stump.
