Next year, tightly zip-tie it to the hook and maybe add large bells to the backside. Anything to slow these low-lifes down or make it more difficult. I have a planter with a handle that I chain to my front porch railing in the spring/summer. Got tired of having my plants stolen. Sometimes quality of life sucks for law abiding New Haven residents. I get your frustration.
