During this past week, the train horns are blasting again during the very early morning hours (4-5am). The noise had subsided for several months but it has started again. What is the city doing to handle this situation?

I read that there was a project planned for earlier this year that would put an end to the horns, that has now been delayed due to the pandemic.
I just wonder why it was toned down through the summer & is now all of a sudden loud again??

Could we please have someone from the city respond to these comments on this forum? This is absolutely unacceptable. Emeryville residents are sick and tired of having to put up with this excessive noise.
WHERE ARE CITY OFFICIALS ON THIS RESPONSE?!
Are there any positions/insights on the hotels and how they are addressing the problems of excessive train noise??
If we can leverage local business, perhaps with their weight being thrown in and the damage it certainly must be doing to their businesses perhaps city officials will finally listen. It's unacceptable that the city nor its officials have responded to ANY of these complaints/comments.

Thank you for reporting.
The City has a capital project that is in design to improve signaling at the railroad crossings that will allow the City to apply for a Quiet Zone approval. This will minimize train horns.
