Description

The city's plows continue to scrape streets that are perfectly passable by automobiles, even if it forces drivers to actually observe speed limits (imagine that). On top of that, the plows are now throwing snow onto sidewalks that have already been cleared (beach St is an example). How about transferring the resources now being wasted on finessing every last bit of snow off the streets into clearing sidewalks and crosswalks? Many crosswalks are BURIED in plowed snow. No doubt Public (Doesn't) Works will say that these are the responsibilities of residents and businesses, which is a cynical and unreasonable argument.
Shame on West Haven for showing such blatant contempt and disregard for the needs of pedestrians.
