There is a line of steel plates on E 82nd street covering a hole for construction for nearly a month now and when cars drive over the plates, which is every 10 seconds, there is a loud bang. It doesn’t stop. It goes on all day and night and no one has been able to help me with this issue. I’ve called 311 3 times and the DOT just brushes off the issue. I’m so disappointed in the city of NYC because this is a clear violation of their noise codes and borderline torture for residents who are home now more than ever. Please, please help us with this issue and make the noise stop.
