The crew was also letting full branches fall on top of cars that were parked under the trees. First, perhaps the city should put signage up a day ahead so people can protect their property. Second, where should residents file claims for the damage caused by your work crews?

Parks and Forestry is not conducting any tree work on 9th street currently. This is most likely utility contractors clearing their utility lines per their state mandate. Unfortunately, we do not supervise this work as it is mandated by the state to complete this type of work at their discretion. Please contact PSE&G is you have any complaints regarding their utility line clearance operations.

I saw the leaf blower. He was NOT blowing leaves across the street onto your side. He blew the sidewalk leaves into the park where he then picks them up. The leaves in the street he just blew off the curb. That guy works hard every day and he does a great job. Don't exaggerate at the expense of this really nice guy doing his job.

Hi Concerned- He did what you’re describing as well as blowing them onto the building side. I have video. My concerns were not about the guy doing his job, but that we had just cleared leaves yesterday so he just undid that. Did you take a walk after they left? Leaves all over our sidewalk.

Also several branches came down on my car, there was no notice of this work completely shutting down 9th St.

Well, as Ed pointed out, the City has rigged it so they bear no responsibility for what goes on in their jurisdiction.

Hi Concerned- I was not talking about the guy who blows leaves regularly and picks them up in the park. This was a PSEG employee who was only here for the tree trimming.
