Something I think PW should be responsible for is bulldozing away the landslide/dirt that has encroached on the street below (Buena Ventura at 64th Ave), and oozing below the barriers. The barriers need to be set down on the ground again. The whole area looks like the aftermath of a disaster.

Comments on our MokeRidge Yahoo group indicate that these lots have been a problem for many many years, and the city already has liens on the property to pay for previous street clean-up.

Now (Aug 2014) there are official looking "BLIGHT" designation signs posted on the Buena Ventura side of this 4-5 lot property, which stretches up to Delmont. The weeds are now a fire hazard, and the ancient black plastic looks like industrial waste. Aside from Code Enforcement, how about support for re-planting with native bushes ?? Opinions, suggestions please ?

Now (Sept 2014) the weeds have been cut down - hurray ! And a skilled artistic person has made the "BLIGHT NOTICE" read "FLIGHT NOTICE" ;-) Also, a nearby neighbor told us that the 5 lots are owned by 5 different families, who are all part of the same extended family.

QUESTION : What is the drainage problem that allows the hill to continue sliding down into the street below ?

There's another candidate for this City Council seat...(District 6)
Shereda Nosakare...please consider voting for her in Nov.; she helps get problems like this taken care of.

Between the partiers and their trash, graffiti, and poor caretaking by multiple property owners, this site has become a severe nuisance to the neighborhood.
