Description

Every week, someone goes through my trash, and every other week they go through my recycling bins to remove stuff. This is illegal and I have started taking down license plate numbers.

This is not illegal! The court has ruled that anything put by the roadside to be dicarded is open to the public and can be gone through and taken.

Hve you seen the people getting out of the cars, and going through your trash, or could it just be Ed the can man looking for recyclables? I also didn't think it was illegal.

It is not illegal to go thru someones garbage if it is on the side of the street. If it was in your yard or house, that is a differant issue.
