I still have not heard from Lt. Gross or have seen any progress regarding "Tent city". The situation worsens as homeless are now following pedestrians to their cars and homes threatening their safety. Does something have to happen before anything is done? Does anyone know of a gov't service that handles these situations?

Honestly, they've now brought a grille that must have been curbside and are using it as a heater. There numbers are increasing as well. At least 10 on a rotating basis. I understand that it is bone chilling cold, but isn't there a NFP that can step in? Also, no word from Lt. Gross... I'll continue my monitoring. Its sad to think that something (bad) will have to happen before this is addressed.

It has grown even worse. Although, Sergeant Harper of the PPD assures me he is doing all that he can within the law. Which is sending officers out to check on them, but not remove them. It has gotten to the point where they are actually building wooden huts that shelter them from weather and plastic tarps that surround areas, a picnic table where they congregate and more shopping carts than a SuperFresh parking lot. The location is state property I've been told and they (the state) don't have the bandwidth to take action but are aware of it.

I'm surprised Blattstein hasn't taken it over and started charging them rent!

haha @ Poor Richard. The carboard/tents are probably build better than a blatstein building.

Concerned on Callowhill, I don;t think that the Philadelphia City Government uses See Click Fix anymore. I haven't had anything fixed from SFC in a long time, but I get fast response times using the 311 App for my iphone.

SFC seems more like a notification board for the residents than anything.
