The Industrial Drive highway on ramp to the 101 is an accident waiting to happen. It is very short it usually reqiures yielding to the highway cars regardless of who has the right of way. There is no yield sign! As we know, there is construction on the 101. Yet there are no noticable signs telling 101 traiffic to slow down to, say, 45mph. So the busy highway cars, with two narrow and shoulderless lanes, are wizzing by at 60 or 65mph...and YOU HAVE TO "MERGE" INTO THAT WITH VIRTUALLY NO MERGE lane. What are these construction folks thinking? Are they on crack? They clearly are breaking some kind of highway safety design rules, construction or not. There is a similar sitution for the on-ramp on River Road to the 101, a perhaps a few more places. For pete's sake, fix this before someone is killed.
