This Pepper tree has never been trimmed and is REALLY overgrown. Also the grass behind the fence by the canal is VERY high and over grown. This issue needs to be addresssed.

Update from Codes: with respect to the tree, there is nothing in the ordinance that covers this type of growth, unless it is blocking street visibility, and in this case it looks like from the picture that the tree is along water. Additionally, any vegetative overgrowth that is behind a fence and cannot be seen from the City right-of-way cannot be investigated. If you own a property that abuts this property and you want to invite an investigator on to your property to view any violations next door, you would need to call Codes at 727-893-7373 and arrange that visit.

We have had this diecussion on who has the right away to this property. We have lived at this location for 9 years and the city has comes out and mowed this property behind the fence before. We have never gotten a difinative answer on who's resonsibilty this is, but it is very over grown and does not look nice from the neighborhood behind ours or from St. Pete Catholic. It looks very over grown and the city needs to take a look at it. I am not calling in a violation for a neighbor. There is going to be snakes and rodents living in this growth. Thank you for your consideration having someone come out and mow and trim this pepper tree.
