Description

The flag stones on the sidewalk on the north side of Crown Street on this block are all heaved and not level and dangerous to walk upon

Economic Development announced that they are repairing these with the week. They are removing the Crown Street stones and replacing them with concrete.

Are the stones going to be reused? Would take them off the city's hands if not.

Although I can't speak for the TT&P Dept, I bet it would help if Economic Development could arrange to have their contractors embed a few bike racks into the concrete while the are pouring it. The inverted-U racks should be installed parallel to the curb in order to give bikes two contact points. I hope the appropriate watchers are paying attention who might be able to coordinate this money-saving interdepartmental cooperation.
