Description
This house has been half completed for over two years, the inground pool isn't fenced off to prevent children from drowning, there are abandoned cars in the yard and materials are just dumped everywhere. They took down a beautiful stone wall on town property and never fixed it. We have to see it every day and all the visitors to our wonderful Nevers Park have to see it too. I want this flagrant zoning violator addressed, 2 years is too long!!

Mr. Hill,
Thanks for this report. First off, I'm sympathetic about the blight issue. However, I am alarmed by the idea that there is an in-ground pool without a fence and I feel like that is the most urgent issue here. Maybe by addressing the pool you might get some additional enforcement related to the condition of the property. If you inform the town about this, I'm hoping the appropriate authorities will pounce.
Have you contacted anyone from the town? I'm not 100 percent sure who handles pool regulations, but Linda Robitaille is South Windsor's zoning enforcement officer. She's available at linda.robitaille@southwindsor.org
and also at 644-2511, Ext. 251.
If it's ongoing construction, the town's chief building official may be the person with authority. That's Christopher J. Dougan, and he's available at 644-2511 ext. 232 or dougan@southwindsor.org.
Don't hesitate to call Dougan tonight or when you get this message. You can leave a voicemail and get the issue on their radar so that they're familiar when you make a follow-up call.
You'll probably get a prompt response, but if anyone is on vacation, you also can reach out to Town Manager Matthew B. Galligan's office. 644-2511 ext 280.
Let me know how it goes.

Hello Mr. Hill,
Did you get a chance to call anyone about this property?
