Trucks aren't allowed to park ANYWHERE in the City, except for purpose built "Truck stops" of which we have none. NRT truck drivers also need to show a bit more haste in going thru town. Hazardous goods or not, 30km thru the city is in itself hazardous..not to mention annoying.

Honestly we need somewhere for truck drivers to be able to go too,,,,Remember they provide us our goods that we need to live. AND They are humans too that needs bathrooms,showers,food and sleep too. Come to think of it,,WHY DON'T WE HAVE A TRUCK STOP IN PA???

They are hard working people!! Leave them alone! They know where to go ,if not they can ask other drivers.

I believe the person was referring to the Shell cardlock on highway two just behind Happy Camper, not the Birch Hills highway.

as a truck driver I can say this city SUCKS for parking...

why would any truck traffic stop here? there is nowhere....behind co-op on marquis is just a place for the locals to dump their trailers or leave their trucks for the weekend...

we have no truck stops...it sucks..terrible...someone should build a flying J on the corner of hwy 2/11..they would make a killing...especially with the lake traffic in the summer

With the volume of semi traffic we have going through this city, you would think this city would have somewhere to pullover. Melfort has a lane that semi's can pull into, not blocking traffic and are able to access the restaurants. P.A seems to be always behind everyone else.....Melfort will probably get a bridge before we get a second one and they don't even have a need for it!

I promise that if and when I win the lottery, one of my 1st acts will be to build a nice truck stop in this city. I find it odd that the so-called gateway to the north has such poor facilities for truckers.

How about combining the "truck stop" with a new tourist facility?

This issue has not been resolved. I am asking for input again.

perhaps, when the province builds the new bridge east of the city, and the perimeter highway is built linking HWY11 with HWY55/Tote Road, THEN someone WILL build a Flying J.

I agree that would be a BIG MONEY MAKER.

if I win the Lottery before Vlasic, I'll build it first! and I'll hire Vlasic to run it.
