Staniford 1st or 2nd speed bump heading toward Appletree has a very wide and deep hole/gouge 4-5 feet long. The repeated digging up of Appletree point connecting water and sewer as houses were built since 1997, is creating a very rough ride with potholes and dips that can damage suspensions as slow as 20mph.

Appletree point Rd is a mess! I am glad to see I am not the only one concerned about this. Would like to see the road repaved not patched. The quick repairs do not last.- there are still huge potholes!

I wrote an email yesterday to Burlington DPW regarding the potholes all the way through Appletree Pt. Rd. Is re-paving in this years plans?

Potholes are being patched today. This street is not scheduled to be repaved this year.

Patching has been going on for 20 years, when does repaving occur?

gouged out speed bumps on Staniford Road present a huge safety problem, especially when they are covered in snow and not visible.

How do we lobby to get on the list for paving next year?? Appletree Point Rd. is one of the worst in the city. It has been neglected for too many years.

The gouge on middle speed bump on Staniford is is patched as of 11am Wed.....helps a lot.

I will try and capture photos of the largest and deepest on Staniford and Appletree so your staff can prioritize them will all the others in the city.

Bill, thanks for the prompt response. realize paving is not possible until Spring, but couldn't get on the list?

We've passed the paving request on to the Department of Public Works for consideration and placement on their list of priorities. The Code Enforcement office is just helping to facilitate the communication.

DPW deserves the all the credit for filling the potholes today.

Each street competes for limited funds based upon current condition and Inspection data and is re-assessed each year. We will continue to monitor all streets each year - please feel free to attend our next commission meeting in Feb for updated street reconstruction information or check out Januarys meeting on Channel 17 for more details.

Kelli, Tom, aerch -- take the issue of the paving list to FPF; to your City Councilors at NPA on fourth Wednesday, Miller Center; and to the Mayor at the Bagel on Wednesday mornings. A paving list needs logically to be reevaluated every year because need doesn't follow lists that are years old. Thanks to all of you who have called attention to this ongoing problem, and to Bill Ward and DPW for their responsiveness.
