Description

Traveling west on Rte 2, there is a traffic light at the corner of Youngs Place and Rte 2. Drivers needing to turn left onto Youngs Place must stay in the left most driving lane to turn left. There is a turn lane there, but that turn lane is for oncoming traffic (drivers traveling east and needing to turn left onto Swatling). Drivers traveling west do not always realize this and will use the turn lane to turn left onto Youngs. Other drivers, needing to continue traveling west and stopped in traffic because they are behind a person correctly stopped in the left driving lane waiting for a clear chance to make a left turn onto Youngs, often become enraged. There are often angry horn blows and near misses. Perhaps the easiest solution would be to put a sign over the left lane that shows it is for straight as well as left turning traffic, and put a sign over the turn lane indicating it is for oncoming traffic, not for turning onto Youngs.
