Dear Potholes Everywhere,
As you can see the City has quickly acknowledged your complaint. But with the large number of potholes on our streets that are taking over a month to get fixed, you will more than likely not see your alley fixed in 2014.

There have been numerous reports on this site of alleys in need of repair. Sadly, they are bottom of the totem pole in terms of priority.

You will also notice that since the City doesn't appreciate my honest reporting, they will soon take my comment and re-post it with my personal email address. Warning to others, if you make a derogatory comment or complain on this site, the City will post your personal email address.

And I see once I am correct. As I predicted they would, the City posted my personal email address. Thank you very much.

Now get back to work and take care of some REAL business!

Your concern has been received and forwarded to the Department of Public Works (CRS# 20020659282) so that proper inspection and handling can take place accordingly. This team has had problems with equipment breakage in regards to motor graders that break and need repair and may have broken again and back in the shop. Also members of the Alley Team are engaged in leaf removal services right now. Regardless, please know the City of Richmond is endeared to addressing your alley repair needs as soon as possible and this case file is still under review and being continually monitored for servicing. WHY IS THIS CLOSED? YOU DIDN'T DO THE WORK!!!!

Why has this issue been closed? These potholes are large, and can be very damaging to vehicles. The problem has not been corrected, therefore eliminating any reason this POI and issue should be "closed."

This request has been received and submitted to the City agencies for review and appropriate action.

I love how they quietly close these issues that are still unresolved. And they want you to click on a link that says "Thank you."

Thanks for what? Nothing!

The City has been sneakily one by one closing all these alley requests because they have no intention of doing them. They are just hoping you don't see that it is closed.

Our tax dollars at work (not!)

The potholes are so large cars are having to navigate around them, damaging yards and personal property, trash cans, etc. This is dirt alley. Everytime the city "repairs" the potholes they are back the next time it rains. The holes where the dirt alley meets the concrete sidewalk are massive, and have the potential to do serious damage to the vehicle of a driver unfamiliar with the alley.

Okay, I am very confused. Anthony Harding placed this on the alley repair list as a new request after someone at the City closed it. Then the next person at the City closed this ticket. Can you please just get this fixed once and for all?!?!
