I truly can’t believe the response posted earlier to this ClickFix! We are in a HOT SPOT with COVID cases rising daily and a positivity rate closing in on 9%! What an absolutely ABSURD answer - “parking restrictions will be eased to allow for VISITORS” ??!!!! Why is Malden NOT supporting Governor Baker?!!! The last thing we should be doing is assisting residents by easing parking restrictions! NO ONE SHOULD HAVE VISITORS!!! We should ONLY be celebrating tonight with members of OUR OWN HOUSEHOLD!!
I’m sorry, but, this is the ABSOLUTE WRONG MESSAGE to send out to Maldonians! Until all are vaccinated, COVID case levels come down (WAY DOWN), and we are told by reputable sources that things are somewhat safe WE CANNOT LET OUR GUARD DOWN! I certainly don’t like it either and would love to have company and celebrate, but, it is just the WRONG THING TO DO right now!
Someone from the city should have called with a New Year greeting well in advance of New Year’s Eve and should have stressed the importance of NOT having visitors this evening! It’s not what we want, but, until things get better we truly have no choice!
