Thanks for reporting this. Which tennis courts are in the worst condition?

Joyce Kilmer, and Carusi in my estimation. Really the courts need to be resurfaced not patched.

Jerome, can you confirm that the town is aware that you have documented this issue?

It would be great to get more comments here about the courts, too - anyone I can send this too?

Listen I can get a petition of many people who play tennis, who can support my claims. The courts are horrible, and as the first person stated are dangerous. Its really sad. I have been living in this township for 42 yrs, and we should have pristine tennis courts for the amount of taxes we pay.

I definitely agree on the petition aspect. Actually, this is a great place to document the issues in detail, since a lot of people can find it. If enough people vote here, the state or local jurisdiction might even pass legislation to REQUIRE that these get fixed!

The one's on West side of town in order of worst:
1) Kilmer - completely unplayable - needs major work
2) Clara Barton - playable only by people who don't play tennis - balls wear out in 5 minutes
3 ) Kingston - unplayable - needs resurfacing and major cracks running throughout and large holes in fences - looks like a Ghetto
4 ) Carusi - needs resurfacing - filthy courts , trees never cut back despite calls asking for them to trim trees last year- tpublic works came out but said they coudn't reach the high limbs
5 ) Yale behing the mall and the courts off Rt 70 ( other side of 70 than Barclay Farms)need resurfacing

Basically no courts at any of the Elementary schoolls or middle schools have beeen resurafced in at least 30 years since I started playing. 30 years ago they were nice, now its just a shame

FYI: Mr. Ipri (former teacher at CH East) has a number of people who want to invest and improve the East tennis courts for competitive play.

No movement is being made to assist with ANY West side school/tennis facilities.

Also realize that Johnson is actually a West-sending school though most of the students come from from the East sending parts of town.

Gee.....none of these locations are on the East Side of town.........yet we all pay taxes at the same tax rate---the only variable there is those on the East Side may or may not pay more for a home solely based on the size and/or neighborhood they choose!

Don't you even notice a difference in the road surfaces between west side and east side??? Enough is enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
