Description

The traffic jams at this very busy intersection were bad before the DOT added the extra long pedestrian cycle and the "no turn on red". Now with the changes to the light cycles at this intersection, traffic jams have been lengthened by at least 2 times and maybe more. I urge DOT or the city officials to look at this intersection again. There's got to be a quicker, more efficient way to get drivers through this intersection.

I also wanted to point out that Peter Ryan was just telling the times union what they wanted to hear back when this question was asked him about the oakwood ave traffic situation... http://www.timesunion.com/local/article/Troy-makes-plans-to-improve-safety-on-Oakwood-4362151.php Neither of the things he mentioned he would do... were done.
