Please have someone go by with the keys to the Tower Hill School. The lights in quite a few of the rooms/offices have been on 24/7 for a few weeks now. Wasting energy

Was this new school bus parking discussed at the Town Hall meeting? Seems like Randolph has a ton of bus parking lots. Why do the need to put one in a thickly settled residential area. The bus fumes and idling is ruining the quality of life.

A school bus company in town parks their vehicles in the York Industrial Park on York Ave. The Middle School, Kennedy School, and Young School have large parking lots which have remote locations, not in the middle of neighborhoods. The High School parking lot adjacent to the swimming pool entrance is quite large, and the location the busses were previously parked. The High School parking lot is in a commercial zoned area, and well lit. An ideal spot for school vehicles to be parked.

3 months later, some maneuvering of buses, but the majority of the buses are still on site.
The only house on Adams St is now subjected to an unsightly view out their front windows. Sad situation.
School department should stick to education. Transportation of students should be trusted to student transportation bus companies.

Sad there hasn’t been a response to this issue, and I’m sure this type of issue will play some sort of part in folks listing their homes for sale… amazing that this issue basically got swept under the run without a answer from the the town - Just my 2 cents

Long buses are gone, but the short buses remain. Turned the quiet neighborhood into an industrial zone. I believe the exemption to the zoning was for a school on the lot, not a bus parking lot.

Buses still on scene. Repair crews work on the buses on site at the school. Absolutely not what the forefathers who allowed the exemption for the school had in mind when they allowed the exemption in the residential zoning allowed in 1938. Someone inform the school department, and, or the school committee.
Also, see what you can do about the grounds. Two foot high grass is ridiculous!

Still waiting for Randolph Schools - The Superintendent, the School Committee, Someone to show responsibility to the Property at the Tower Hill School property on Adams Street. In the middle of a quiet neighborhood, they have allowed a dump to develop. The buses are an ugly addition to this quiet neighborhood. In addition to the bus parking lot, the lack of maintenance to the property has forced the neighborhood to begin a maintenance program of their own. We have been forced to mow the lawn, trash pick up, weeding and maintenance of the playground. The School Department is one of the most irresponsible neighbors up here on lower High Street

They used to park them in the parking lot of the old senior center. I think because the town is putting it up for sale, they removed them from there. But there hasn't been anything at the center ever since.

Less activity during the summer season, but I can assume it will pick up soon with school starting up again.

Buses ruining the look of the neighborhood. Only school in Randolph located in a neighborhood that parking is not surrounded by trees. Yet, the buses remain.
The grounds are not kept up. Grass has been mowed once this year by school department. The grass along High Street, and the playground have been maintained by the neighbors over here on High Street. Pathetic.
The school department have the willing manpower, and the equipment, but lack the ability to manage. That's at the top.
As an adult, I have owned, and lived in four houses over the course of my life. The Town of Randolph School Department is easily the worst neighbors I have ever had

The school bus parking lot remains. Early morning startups of the buses make plenty of noise for this residential area. Back up alarms on the buses and long term idling at the empty Tower Hill School. I think this isn't allowed by the very Town that is committing the crime. The bus drivers litter the parking lot with papertowels after they wipe off their windshields, empty snack wrappers, water bottles, cigerette butts, used covid masks, the perforated edges of their paystubs, etc, etc. Very little thought given to the neighbors up here.
We continue to mow the lawn along High Street, pick up the trash, provide basic maintrnance for the grounds and playground. The TofR continues to ignore the basic ideas of how a good neighbor maintains their property. Not only for themselves, but for their neighbors and community.
The TofR has mowed the lawn at Tower Hill School twice this entire year. Once in July, when it eas 2' tall, and once last week when it was12" tall.

Buses still here. Buses idling long term in early morning inparking lot, against TofR laws and regulations. No one takes issue with this except the neighbors over here.
Trash created by the drivers still a problem. They've been asked more than once to please use the trash containers provided on the property, but some are too ignorsnt to comply with the laws about littering.
The lawn and playground are still cared for by the neighbors. Shame on the School Department. The manpower is available, the equipment is available. Management is lacking. If they can't take care of the property under their care, how can they be trusted with the education of our children?

The buses were removed, however, the site will still be used for the buses to be there temporarily (for example, a few weeks ago, for the Zip Trip, and the upcoming elections).
