The traffic signal at Adams and Hilliard Street uses video detection to change the signal to green on Hilliard Street. There is a camera pointing at the eastbound traffic that will bring up the green arrow in that direction and continue to hold the green light if cars continue to approach. There is a camera pointing at westbound traffic that brings up the green in this direction which will time out at the same time as the eastbound direction. If eastbound cars are moving on the green arrow and clear the intersection before the arrow times out, and before westbound traffic comes into the field of view of the video detection camera, then the westbound traffic will not get the green and the green will revert to Adams Street and westbound will have to wait for the Adams Street green to time out (about 40") before westbound can get the green again. I checked the signal controller at about 12:15pm today and the vehicles were being detected normally. If you can advise me of when you were there and what the weather was at the time I can check with our equipment supplier and see if they have any explanation for what might have happened.

As I said I live on Woodland street and Travel Westbound towards Adams on a Regular occasion it seems that if there is only one car on the West bound side as I often at night get there with no cars behind me it seems that you have to be in very small area to be detected basically recently i realized that if i do not line my front car doors up with 3 bushes on the right it will not change I have literally on numerous occassions sat at that westbound light and watched it cycle 2 or three times often letting the East bound cars go and never changing to let westbound cars go, and I can not be the only one this is happening to the sensor or something needs to be adjusted ...

Also while we are discussing traffic light westbound on New State Road at the Entrance to East Catholic at 7am every morning when I am headed to the Highway that light changes to green and lets about 5 cars thru and sometimes there are 20-30 cars lined up around the corner all the way back to the entrance to Falcon Ridge apts , I hope this is going to be fixed and addressed in the upcomming improvements at that area

The Light at Hilliard and Adams When Traveling WEST is STILL NOT Corrected I sat the other night at 1130pm thru 3 cycles and never got a green on the west bound side in fact east bound cars approached , and Adams went red let the East Bound Cars go and then Adams Went Green again , But WEST on Hilliard remained RED I finally turned right and cut thru the Fiber Optic Places Driveway
