Description

We want to report that there is a very dangerous thing that is happening that I think is new at this intersection. We take this walk all the time and for some reason today when we were going south down 116th Ave. SE. On the east side of the street, we got the crosswalk that turned to a walking person and then does the countdown - so we’re in the right of way to do our walk across Kent Kangley Road. But while the number is counting down, the yellow flashing signal to turn left is also giving people the right of way to go ahead and turn left at the same time, but with caution, because it’s yellow. We almost got hit in the crosswalk because someone decided they had the right to go on a flashing yellow. It seems like the arrow should not be yellow at all when someone is in a crosswalk and legally can cross. The arrow should be a solid red! this is very dangerous!!! my son almost got hit by a car just a few minutes ago when we had every right to be crossing in the crosswalk. And the person going left thought they had every right to turn left because it was yellow not red Please fix this! This is the first time we noticed it so it seems like possibly there’s something wrong with the timing on the lights. It should not be this way it is very dangerous It seems like it probably is the same thing going down Kent Kangley if we were crossing that way, it would be doing the same exact thing
