Description
After spending more than an hour clearing the snow on my side walk and driveway into Grand Av, city plow passes by and dumps all the snow on the earth right in my driveway, right in front on me!!!!! Ignoring my signs.
I am really angry at the city right now, this is so wrong! And they all want my vote???

If you have to get out just skim the top a bit and barrel through there , make sure no cars are coming , but when you return you can count on one 4 feet high block of ice blocking your driveway..arrgh..Take a bus..Fuhhgettaboutit

It's that time of year. Snow is in the street. What do you expect the plow drivers to do? Should they skip your street or what? Their job is to clear the street so we can all drive more safely and emergency vehicles can get around as needed. Would you also be complaining if they didn't plow?
I'm tired of people who act surprised that there is snow on the sidewalk & in their driveway and that it can be a lot of work to clear it out. In general it appears to me that the plow drivers are doing the best they can to do their jobs to clear the streets and avoid any property damage. My hope is that the snow plows will do a better job of plowing curb to curb rather than just doing multiple passes down a single lane in the middle of the street.
Face it, you live in New England, snow is a fact of life here and you may need to clear your driveway several times everytime it snows. Just do it or hire someone else to do it or maybe move down south and find something new to complain about.

Nat, it makes no sense that you should be surprised that snow would land at the base of your driveway after the street is plowed. Where do you expect the snow to go??? The job of snow plows is the PUSH the snow to the sides of the street. Where is the base of your driveway? The side of the street.
Some people just don't think! They are angry when the streets aren't plowed, but then they get angry when the streets are plowed!!
Think about it, please.

Sigh... still people don't understand that there are two options: 1. streets don't get plowed, 2. streets get plowed with snow being pushed to the sides. This is PHYSICS, people.
When you're frustrated that your car has snow pushed up on it by a plow, or that the base of your driveway has snow on it after a plow has gone down your street, just consider the alternative --- the snow stays on the street.
The only way to "solve" this problem is to CHANGE THE LAWS OF PHYSICS. Think about it.

Be grateful at least your street gets plowed, I live on the corner of Pin St. & Pine Alley and Pine Alley has only been plowed by the city 3 times in the last 20 years. All the other times it has been cleared by 2 older gentlemen with there snow blowers.
