I agree! Cars still speed as well. The so-called "bumps" are not high enough to discourage speeding. The ones on Front street are much better. . . although, frankly, I don't think even those would discourage the motorcycles. The noise as well as the speed of the motorcycles is AWFUL!

I called too, nobody ever shows up. My youngest daughter always wakes up scared and crying from the sound. That's how loud it is! Sometimes it can go on for over an hour. If they actually installed speed BUMPS instead of those humps, it might have helped a bit. In order for them to serve as any kind of deterrent, they have to pose the possibility of the vehicle bottoming out at hight speeds.
Anyway, i really can't believe this neighborhood. I have never lived anywhere where the cops consistently never show up. It's not just the noise issue, last night the bike appeared to be going at least 80 mph. Someone is going to get killed.

Somebody has to do something about this house. Please, we are desperate. It's a constant issue on the street, cars racing at all hours, including after 9, 10, 11pm. Drug dealing in plain view. Violent fights, sometimes involving women. Destroying property. Their children witnessing all this.

The little guy on the green dirt bike was pulling into 188 Lexngton at 1pm it looked like his mom was talking to him as he did. They were called, I don't think the police ever showed. Again.

I'm so glad others from Lex. Ave. are speaking up about the speeding, the noise & the drug dealing which is, in fact, quite obvious!

This issue is ongoing and will remain open until we see some action by the city we pay to keep us safe. We have called and called the police and speeders still use Lexington as a local cut through/speedway. It would be nice for once if the city said "we will do something about this" instead of playing this game of "round and round we go" for ONCE!

The drug activity has disappeared from Lexington Avenue for now (didnt you notice) since we made a arrest this past week on one of your chronic neighbors and he bonded out the next day. He also has numerous pending cases in court. The police cant do much if the courts keep throwing them back into society.Once the police prioritize a quality of life issue and succeed , its the court system that needs to uphold what the police give them. Folks, call Sgt Vinny at the number he gave you. He will respond to your problem with the bikers. He's proven this time and again. Nailing these guys is a process. But the newer heavier fines are in place, starting a $1,000 a pop, so now the cops have the legislation/laws to support their efforts. And thanks to everyone who has called and acted to stop this #1 public nuisance.

I still see people speeding down Lexington every morning right before the buses come like its an interstate highway. The police union is strong, why not use it to influence more than just pensions?
