I have no idea. Is there any way that one would find that information?

This has long been a problem on Putnam Street. We had temporary speed bumps a few summers ago which helped, but the speeding started up again immediately as soon as they were removed. Many streets in the West End and elsewhere with fewer children and no schools have permanent speed bumps. Why is that? Are poor kids less worthy of protection?
Early this afternoon an out-of-control Acura crashed into (and destroyed) a fire hydrant at the corner of Putnam and Russ-- right in front of Burns elementary school. They've towed away the car but a big puddle of motor oil remains in the gutter as of 1:50 PM.

I don't feel like getting the emails anymore--not that I know that anyone has done anything in particular to fix the issue. It doesn't seem like it's been as bad recently. It would be nice if the police would patrol the street occasionally. I see the police looking for this sort of thing in nicer neighborhoods in Hartford. I guess the neighborhood is too poor for them to care?
