Description
The speed limit on South Van Ness is 25 MPH(it will not be changed). The majority of vehicles travel above the speed limit, but although informed, the SFPD & the SFMTA do little or nothing to solve the problem. Mission residents, especially children and the elderly, are at significant risk.

I'll say it again:
There is far less traffic on S. Van Ness compared to Mission. The speed limit should continue to go un-enforced or be raised to 35 mph.
Way to try and game the system Mark, the comments the last time you posted this clearly said S. Van Ness is an auto thoroughfare that should have a higher speed limit or less enforcement than others(i.e. Valencia, Mission).
Here's the link to the last thread, for anyone reading this:http://www.seeclickfix.com/issues/64405-excessive-speed-on-south-van-ness-the-speed-limit-is-25-mph
And children and elderly now, really?

All I'm saying is that the people who commented on the previous thread seemed to think the 25mph speed limit is too slow, so to repost the same issue without their views expressed is akin to gaming the system(by which I mean this website).
Adding children and elderly to the mix sounded like scaremongering to me. With all the construction happening on S. Van Ness I don't see how anyone can speed at this point anyway.
However, the fact remains that people need to be able to get out of the city in reasonable time, which mean S. Van Ness ought not to be subject to the same speed restrictions as other streets in the area.

Example of a cab at high speed on South Van Ness. I have dozens of videos of buses taxis and various speeders driving well over the limit.

Formal complaints are being made on a regular basis.
