Description
Carshare on North St. @N. Union. As often, parked in the wrong or both spots. Still there this morning.
Even if it were parked correctly, the general public parking spot in front of this new Carshare spot is too small for regular sized vehicles and is therefore constantly unused. Would somebody please investigate and rearrange the signs?!

DPW Staff would not support the removal or relocation of the car share space. The approval of this car share space went through an extensive public process in the spring of 2019. I would recommend you go to this link https://www.burlingtonvt.gov/DPW/Commission/Agendas, this item was deliberated at the 3/20/19 DPW Commission meeting. You may discuss this at the March Commission meeting on Wednesday, March 17 at 6:30 pm; details for this meeting will be at the following link https://www.burlingtonvt.gov/DPW/Commission/Agendas.
Some people drive and park in a hazardous manner, I would suggest that if you feel unsafe at any time please call the Burlington Police Department (BPD). We have traffic regulations in ordinance which may take care of your concerns and the BPD is good at enforcing them, they just need to know what is going on. I have a good contact with the BPD; his name is John King and he is the BPD Parking Enforcement Manager. Here is Mr. King’s contact information jking@bpdvt.org, (802)540-2185.
Feel free to call my cell phone directly should you have any questions. The Department of Public Works has resolved this request. Thanks for helping to keep Burlington a great place to live and work.
Best,
