Description
I enjoy walking the sidewalk around Lipscomb University. However, on several recent days, construction workers at LIpscomb have left heavy equipment blocking the sidewalk. This forces pedestrians to have to step into Granny White at a dangerous area to go around. Even worse, the heavy equipment has severely cracked the sidewalk. I hope Lipscomb will pay to have this fixed. Finally, the drainage retention area at the south end of the Lipscomb campus has standing water without a fence around it. It is a dangerous condition for children. Even the short, temporary plastic fence was left open this evening. All together, this is a hazardous condition.

Codes and Building Safety does not have jurisdiction over public right-of-ways and sidewalks. You will need to contact Metro Public Works at 862-8700.
The retnetion area is handled also by Public Works and possibly Metro Health at 340-5644.
