Description
Hi,
It is me again. I had posted about speeding and a person using the center lane as a passing lane. I said we need a stop sign, speed bumps, or more police presence on our street...
Here we are, not even a week later.
This poor neighbor has had his backyard crashed into for a second time.

Dear 311 Users -
Thank you for bringing your concern to our attention at Frye Road and Hansen Drive. We reviewed your concern for a 4-way stop at the intersection of Frye Road and Hansen Drive and speeding along Frye Road.
Guidance from the national standards outlined in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), Federal Highway Administration (2009, updated 2012) was used to determine the appropriate traffic control for the intersection of Frye Road and Hansen Drive. Based on review of the traffic volumes, crash history, and other consideration, the Town of Gilbert’s Traffic group recommendation is for the existing traffic configuration to remain and not provide an All-Way Stop at this location.
Improper or unjustified all-way stop intersections can result in one or more of the following disadvantages:
A. Increase delay,
B. Excessive disobedience of the all-way stop,
C. Increased use of less adequate routes as road users attempt to avoid the all-way
stop and
D. Increases in the frequency of collisions (especially rear-end collisions).
To address the left turn concerns on Frye Road it is recommended to re-stripe Frye road to include a left turn lane at the intersection of Frye Road and Hansen Road. Frye Road is scheduled for pavement resurfacing next finical year (July 2021 to June 2022) and the modifications to add the left turn lanes on Frye Road will be incorporated at that time.
In addition to the all-way stop consideration, the concern for speeding along Frye Road was investigated. The Town of Gilbert took speed counts along Frye Road. After reviewing the results of the speed counts, driver feedback signs are recommended and will be installed along Frye Road. Per the Town of Gilbert’s Policy, speed humps are not allowed on collector streets (Frye Road) and in addition the speeds collected did not meet the 85 percentile speed needed per the speed hump policy to install.
Let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

Can I request the speeding count be re done ? The only speed strip I saw was on Hanse, and some jerk pulled it up and tossed it in the bushes.
The speed strip needs to be placed on Frye.
