This pothole is so severe on Elkton Rd going towards Newark that I’m concerned enough to post about it. I’m legitimately concerned I may have broke something on my car, and even more concerned for someone on a vehicle less stable like a motorcycle.

We hit it around 6:15pm this evening resulting in a broken hub and a split in the seam of the tire. As far as other damage, we will have to have the alignment and tie rod checked tomorrow when we get the tire replaced. We were going slower than the posted speed limit in a 2014 Honda Civic, but the dead-on hit by the right front tire with no warning whatsoever caused some pretty pricey damage. Per Will's comment, it could definitely be a much more serious issue for a motorcycle or at a high rate of speed.

I agree! Unfortunately, my husband also hit this pothole on the way home tonight. Terrible damage to his tire/rims, we are concerned there may be other issues-going to the shop tomorrow. I hope they get this fixed!

302 658 6524 this is the number for the construction company .. maybe if enough people call to put in complaint they will pay for the damages done to our cars. They are saying it’s a pot hole .. and will not cover !! This was not a pot hole it was a huge hole on a one lane street with no shoulder so could avoid it!!
