Agreed, it is rather unsightly. I understand that the owners of the house along side of this portion of the sidewalk are currently making significant renovations, but I don't see why the sidewalk can't be repaired in the meantime. Gas/water/sewer lines should've been repaired by now; why leave this hazard for pedestrians?
It takes all of an hour to prep and lay the concrete, and then a day to set.
