Description
Around 5:45pm on 2/18/2014, I was driving on the right hand side of Prospect between Washington and Columbia streets. There was an extremely large pothole in that area (about 6 to 9 inches deep) and filled with water, and I believe I lost a hubcap to my right tire around the area on Prospect between Washington and Columbia. I went out looking for the hubcap for the last hour, and could not find it. I am thinking that someone may have found it and picked it up.

city says:
"The section of Prospect Ave between Springfield and Marketview is part of state route 150 and maintained by IDOT. You can report this to them at 465-4181. This will be closed at Public Works."
The city should be working with IDOT directly to fix this dangerous issue. Yet, they leave it up to the citizen to make the call to IDOT and they close the case. The city seems more interested in closing cases than fixing problem.
Unacceptable.

IDOT has known about this for a while. If they don't have the money or the resources to fix this, they at least should block off that section of the road since it is absolutely unsafe for drivers and impassable.
