2 cars can easly pass each other on the Bridge - It is there is a truck only. People in cars need to simply wake up and share the roadway on the bridge
It is actually a two lane bridge for autos, light trucks - the sign has been there for trucks when the papermill was up and running as 2 heavy trucks can not pass on it - been across that brige many times passing opposing traffic. Give it a try and you might get to where your going sooner and cause less backups
Really?? How about obeying the signs and not trying to squeeze two SUV's accross the bridge at the same time?? Have you ever tried to turn onto the bridge with someone stopped at the end of the bridge? Even a smaller car can't do it!! BTW - if there is not a painted line down the middle of a road - it's not considered two lanes.
Normally I do not drive gas gussling cars but my ford explorer can easily cross over opposite direction of a cadallic esclade - been there done it! Contray to popular belief you can fit 2 small truck size vehicles - this bridge was built years ago for heavy semi's coming in an out.
Well then you must be the exception!! I see so many near misses every single day when I travel over that bridge. I guess you're just better at driving than 99% of the rest of the people. I can fit my truck over that bridge too - but it's that 99% of the other people that can't!
Maybe it's time to take down the signs & paint a double line down the middle then???
Agree! But they would need a new sign Limit One Truck should do the trick. I am not saying it isn't a touch tight but I have seen alot of people do - I just assumed that it was seasoned drivers (the people who grew up around here)
That's the problem - right there! I grew up here too and it seems that "some" people have no clue that we actually have one lane bridges or are just too ignorant to try to wait their turn!! :)
It's kinda like - just because you can doesn't mean you should....my car goes to 180mph but I don't have the skill to do so!!
