Numerous times at rush hour , I have observed emergency vehicles attempting to proceed through these intersections only to be stopped dead because the vehicles have no where to go when stopped at the traffic lights. How about a few less traffic cameras at the intersections and more Opticoms to change the signals so that emergency vehicles can proceed through with less impedance. Note how well they work at Upland square and any other intersection with them installed. You may not think much of it now ,but see how your tune changes when you are a patient in the back of an Ambulance , or a Policeman is responding to your emergency , or you need Fire services.
