Description

The police need to start ticketing all of the illegal parkers at Price Chopper. It is a FIRE LANE for a reason. Everybody just pulls right up front and goes into the store, and not for a pack of cigarettes either. We're talking a half hour. And they do it for every store in the plaza.

This is an ongoing problem in this plaza and the DOLLAR STORE has signs in their windows, advising the parkiers of this adversial type of parking but, the customers pay no attention to it. TPD and the TROY FIRE DEPT. should issue extremely stiff parking tickets for this behavior and take a lesson from Pittsfield, Mass., where it is a $250 ticket & a tow charge, and that is for the first offense.

You need to change the address so that readers will know that the reference is the Price Chopper plaza. Yes, this is a severe problem and happens way too much. The Troy Fire Dept. should be allowed to issue parking tickets for this problem.

People parking in the fire lanes happens everywhere!

The state police give tickets for it at the brunswick walmart. I've seen that but i've seen more idiots parking in the firelanes without tickets than with tickets.

The BIG LOTS plaza off hoosick in Troy is notorious for this. It's almost always the perfectly healthy but incredibly lazy african americans with the "world owes me" attitude.

Agreed. It happens at the right aid all the time. There is plenty of parking in front of the rite aid that's at most 50 feet from the entrance but people are so lazy, they still pull up on the curb.
