I have reported this issue a couple of times as well. Even as late as last week. They told me that it would be part of a larger road project. Didnt give a date or project scope. The first time I complained I was told that there wasn't any issues with the road.

I’ve reported this over the years too because I drive it daily and NOTHING IS EVER DONE THAT IS MEANINGFUL. JUST ROUGH PATCH ON TOP OF ROUGH PATCH!

Same, I chipped my $600 rim there and all they said was sorry we still are not patching them or fixing the road.

Now it appears they aren't going to touch the worst section of road in Topeka. Time to replace the Street commissioner.

SW 17th St. pavement reconstruction project from Wanamaker Rd. to I-470 is going out for bids. Construction is scheduled to begin on August 22, with final construction completion by November 18, 2022. In addition, SW Westport Dr. from 17th St. north to Wanamaker Rd. will also be reconstructed. This is scheduled to occur mostly next year, with final construction completion by September 1, 2023.

This stretch of street is terrible. Please give the taxpayers an update on when it will be repaired.

I see the comment above saying the ticket for this request of 17th near wanna maker has been addressed and is closed... Nope nothing has been done! And according to the last update, construction on it was supposed to start today there are no signs or cones anywhere! I knew Topeka was bad for getting roads repaired but are they really this terrible they close tickets without even fixing anything? Must be why we live in one big pothole?... Crazy

Yeah, they want to close it because they cannot keep their word. It was to start this year and now its another year!!!! This section is horrible and with their horrible patch work is so funny!!! Disgusting they let our streets get this bad while spending money on new projects!!!

City stated they were starting on August 22. Why is nothing being done? City just lies and says it's being addressed and closes the ticket. What a joke.
