VARY DANGEROUS INTERSECTION - OBSTRUCTED VIEW

Recent road construction has created this hazardous intersection - obstructions include aluminum walkway railing, white picket fence, telephone poles, temporary crossing light poles, political signage and even a bicycle that is chained in this space on a regular basis.

These visual obstructions make it nearly impossible for traffic stopped at Haines Bayshore to get a clear view of northbound US 19 traffic without having to pull forward into the pedestrian crosswalk ( and precariously close to oncoming traffic) before attempting to merge with oncoming traffic.
