Description

The construction at Pleasant St. is ongoing, but it is not obvious to eastbound drivers on Pleasant St. that there is a crosswalk coming from Howard St. for access to the river path. There is a sign warning westbound traffic about 200 feet east of the crosswalk. But do not seem to be aware of the new crosswalk location, and will rarely if ever allow someone to cross even though pedestrians are in clear view of westbound traffic.

I should note there used to be a crosswalk about 200 feet west of the present location, and there is an inoperative flasher still at that location. A flasher for the new location would make alot of sense, but at the very least there should be a warning sign on the west side, just as there is on the east side.
