I reported this over a month ago and it was never acknowledged. Trash and debris in this area has only gotten worse and it appears the city could care less about it.
This encampment is a total mess. Today there are a bunch of matching metal structures going up. As a tenant and business owner on Sears ln. I drive by every day and can tell you without a doubt it is growing. I understand the nuance of the situation but the truth is, the town now has a low barrier shelter less than a mile away. I am concerned about health and safety of the occupants and area residents. Let’s not forget there was a murder at a similar Pine St. encampment only a few years ago.
Not sure why my comment was blocked. Here is what I said in summary.
1. The camp is growing
2. New metal structures going up today
3. Safety is a concern for residents and encampment occupants
4. Understandably the situation is nuanced but there is now a low barrier shelter less than a mile away
