I disagree also, I would not be in favor of a play area near the riverbank ....playgrounds are meant for schools. Many times kids are un-supervised at play areas and it may potentially be dangerous.

I have to strongly disagree the area in which a playground would be good is 11th ave and river street and our neighbour hood keeps it clean all the parks are too far away for us to just let the kids go play.

There are city playgrounds in crescent hieghts, and the holy land of crescent acres, and the west hill, but not a darn one in the east flat. However, the area in discussion is crime free, clean, and full of families and seniors walking the rotary trail. The Elks playground a few blocks east is trouble free. Why not provide a playground here? It isn't a thing like downtown. Check out the east rotary trail to see how safe and nice and family friendly it is. Not everything wonderful involves a hill in this city, believe it or not!

what about the park near berezowski? a few blocks away, or st.johns?
