I got it just put up a sign saying NO ROAD RAGE

They have no signs posted to use both lanes because on all two lane roads in the state you are always suppose to stay in the right hand lane. Not drive 70 mph in the left hand lane and expect someone who has sat in the traffic in the right hand lane where they are suppose to be to let you in, to cut 20 cars off. What really needs to happen is one day the State Troopers to be sitting on the road pulling everybody over who race up in the left hand lane, like they use to do years ago at that spot.

The real problem is, that drivers make up their own rules on the roads. PennDot already has signs warning drivers not to follow others too closely, be courteous to other drivers and to avoid agressive drivng. Some may say they're a waste of tax payer's money. Drivers may be required to stay on the right on two laned roads, but what good is that going to do when a single lane merger aproaches? Even during construction, we run into many of those situations. If everyone remained on the right lane as you had stated. Traffic would back up much further than it would have been if both lanes are used. Besides, no matter how many drivers wait their turn on the right side, there's always going to be those who will not follow the rules. The logical solution is to add a "use both lanes" sign. This way, one car on each lane takes a turn merging onto that one available lane. Makes sense to me and hopefully greatly reduce road rage. Unfortunately signs have become a neccessity these days. The state troopers and the local police are only interested in catching speeders on the bypass. That left lane is legal to drive on until that broken line in the center ends. Now, if they drive on the shoulder, then it's illegal and subject to a fine.

The Pennsylvania Driver's Manual, Chapter 3 page 34 states, You must drive in the lane nearest the right-hand edge of the road, except when overtaking another vehicle or for a distance of up to two miles in preparation for a left turn, I am pretty sure they don't mean to cut 20-25 vehicles off sitting in traffic to merge. The Pennsylvania Vehicle Code section 3313 also addresses staying in the right hand lane when you are on a highway that has two or more lanes traveling in the same direction.
I try not to drive on this road anymore but the problem is ignorant drivers in the left lane. When someone would get mad about all the people passing and drive down the middle of the road so nobody could pass, the traffic would then flow. Not at 65-70 mph but 20-30 mph and not be at total grid lock.

You see Jim, there is your problem. You are pretty sure you they don't mean. Guess what, if traffic is sitting in the right lane of their own free will, then you are overtaking them in the left lane and you are perfectly legal. If someone sits in the middle between the two lanes to block traffic they are the one that is illegal. I'd like to see someone get a ticket for that.
