For fire lane issues i would call gilbert pd non emergency number. Using 311 will have a delayed response

Hi there! I’ve already called and was directed to call the Fire Department since it’s a fire lane issue. Called there with no answer, left a voicemail and haven’t heard back. I can call the non-emergency PD number again but I’ve been told so many different things by people at this point that it’s confusing and frustrating. I just want to know who the actual proper channel is so I can communicate this and get it fixed quickly and efficiently.

For officers to be able to enforce a fire lane it must be posted with the appropriate signage. Until it is posted officers would not be able to cite or remove vehicles who violate it.

Thanks for the info! I’ve called the fire department already with no answer. I can always email them as well, but I was informed by the non-emergency PD when I called that if they didn’t answer I should open a request with Gilbert 311.

I’m merely a renter here, so I don’t think it’s my responsibility to chase down the fire department to install/replace fire lane signs that should be in there in the first place. I feel like this is something that the HOA/property management needs to do since they run the neighborhood itself. Unfortunately I haven’t gotten any help from them on the parking issue or the fire lane issue so I’m just at a loss as to what route to take at this point. Lots of back and forth and being told to go to one place for info only to be told that’s not the right place and then nothing ever actually getting resolved. I appreciate the info but I’m just very frustrated.

Can the"lane issue dept" contact HOA? This has been ongoing, and never gets resolved. I hope no one ever needs to get to one of the cluster homes if there is an emergency. I hope someone can help resolve this ongoing problem.

Thanks RR! My exact thoughts! I’ve tried several times to get ahold of the Fire Department the last few days and no answer, no calls back...NOTHING. I’m just getting bounced back and forth to different departments and no one wants to take any responsibility. This is absolutely insane and I hope that it gets resolved soon. It’s not the residents responsibility to play messenger here. I’m not the HOA nor do I work for the town of Gilbert.

Could I please have an update on this? It’s been over a month and NOTHING. I’d appreciate if this actually gets resolved because this is absolutely ridiculous.

Spoke with Debbie in Engineering and this is 100% a Willows HOA/property management issue. Complaints have been issued through them to the neighbors and this has stopped (hopefully, but we will see). Lisa has been contacted about the fire lane signs and has still not responded. Not the towns problem so I am closing this issue on here.
