West Oakland has become the center of people living in motor vehicles, under blue tarps, and just plain on the street. Mayor Quan just said in her State of the City that things are "booming". Well, what's "booming" is illegal dumping, graffiti, squatting, homeless encampments, and crime. All the Mayor is looking at is Uptown and has paid selective inattention to the neighborhood where real people live. WHY DO OAKLANDERS KEEP ELECTING THE SAME CRUMB BUMS?
