Description
Regarding complaints about firefighters not wearing masks: first responders were among the first people vaccinated. I'm willing to bet that the entire department, or close to it, has been fully vaccinated for some time, and that its members therefore present an extremely low risk of carrying and transmitting COVID. I'm not an expert on firefighting, but I know that firefighters frequently have to be able to put respirators on quickly, which can't be done while wearing a mask. I would also think a firefighter would not want a piece of flammable cloth on his/her face. Perhaps the department can confirm regarding vaccination and explain its policies to help reassure people. Thank you.
