Public Works and the Mayor have been informed. Highland Avenue was a discussion between myself and Alderman Matt Edo, 6th ward, last week. The area around 72-78 Highland is chronically plagued with crumbling pavement for as many years as I can remember. I'm requesting that it be examined for more than patchwork fixes, although until winter ends. if ever it does, that may have to suffice until a more thorough job can be done in better weather. Highland Ave IS slated for paving this year but I would like special attention given to that area to see what can be done differently so as to prevent more of the same after a couple of years pass. Many Ansonia roads are becoming victims of the intense and harsh winter this year. Public Works will keep up the best they can. Pot holes reports may be called in directly to them. In the meantime, drive cautiously.
