The light needs to be longer! Its backs up and then they cut through Springfield side streets! This is the biggest cut through and the cars are not stopping at the stop signs.

Another solution is to ban left turns from Route 1 onto Springfield Road in an effort to give more green time to straight traffic. Think about it...it's not crazy. Hardly anyone turns left from Southbound Route 1 onto Springfield Road (toward Clifton Heights). Those few people will just have to use the Rolling Road or the local roads instead. A fair number of people turn left from Northbound Route 1 onto Springfield Road (toward Broomall) but they could easily turn at the prior traffic light for 320 and get to the same place at the KFC. They might need to upgrade the intersection at Meetinghouse for people wanting to use local roads like Plymouth or Eagle on Springfield Road before 320 merge. 320 is a two lane highway and could easily handle the traffic.
Will Penn Dot make these changes? I doubt it.
