The city will do nothing about blighted properties except maybe, if the property presents a danger of collapse, stabilize it, and that only after years and years. That is the truth that has been observed over and over.

Amen. I seriously wish the city and LCI would get their act together and hold property owners accountable. This street has made so much progress over the last few years, but this lot, owned by the derelict property owner Kenny Hill, has sat rotting for years. I really do believe that the only way to get meaningful action is to take the city to court for failure to enforce its own blight ordinances. The city must be held to account and forced to take action.

I've actually done the math on the money he's lost on his other property on Winchester (the 12 unit one) by just not actually getting it completed and it's embarrassing to say the least. Let's do this with generous math. 12 units × $1,200 per month per apartment = $172,800
X 12 yea0rs it has been vacant =$2,073,600. Please stop calling yourself a developer when you can't finish a simple project in 12 years. Stop embarrassing yourself and sell to someone who knows what they are doing. The city should stop embarrassing itself and pull his permits. He obviously has no clue, funding or expertise to get it done.
