This intersection and crosswalk have been identified as needing RRFBs installed (Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons) along with several others across the city. We hope to begin upgrading these this fall. As for the speeding in general, this is already a known trouble spot and law enforcement survey it often, and unfortunately this is the limit of what we can provide here until the RRFBs are installed to provide pedestrians a more visible crossing space.

This road is bad with the hot rod cars, we nearly got ran into the other day.
All evening a person can hear the fast cars with the loud exhaust.

Yes I ageee, cops do not “survey it often”, where are they Friday and saturday nights when the races are going on? No cops to be found lol

seems like a dismissal of the problem, hopefully between now and fall no one is killed.

It wakes me up at night and the dog starts barking because it’s so loud. I seldom see police patrolling the area. I wish they would place a digital speed monitor device that shows your speed and keeps track of who is speeding by taking a picture of their car/tag and sending them a ticket in the mail. I know they have cameras at stop lights. Can’t they place a camera elsewhere to keep on top of speeding on 21st street? Not only cars racing but motorcycles too. Most of them without helmets. Something needs to be done before someone gets killed (pedestrian or driver) or severely injured.
